BIPOC Mental Health Month 2021

BIPOC Mental Health Month 2021

Formally recognized in 2008 and created by journalist, educator, and mental health advocate Bebe Moore Campbell to bring awareness to the unique mental health struggles from underrepresented communities.and it's time we #Stopthestigma of mental health issues within the minority communities.

Systemic and structural racism, racial trauma, oppression, mass incorporation, and many other issues that people of color regularly deal with that leads to deeper mental health issues.  For too long our ancestors pushed through to survive and the unhealed traumas are passed down generation to generation. Although recognized in July; As Black women who’s ancestors endured chattel slavery and genocide; we recognize the need to bring awareness around mental health struggles and need for deep healing.

At Brooke Blaze we use our passion for self-care and destigmatizing mental health within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities; especially the Black community. We hope to inspire focus on self love, healing, and peace of mind.

Always consult with your physician and/or mental health medical advisor. Check out some our BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ resources. IT'S OK TO NOT BE OK. #stopthestigma
